Advanced Grinding Solutions Expands Its UK operations
Advanced Grinding Solutions Ltd, the Midlands based suppliers of a wide range of grinding and finishing machines and associated equipment, has moved to a new and larger industrial unit on the Binley Industrial Estate in Coventry as it continues to expand its operations due to a growing order book for its range of machine tools.
Chris Boraston, MD at Advanced Grinding Solutions comments; "We have seen rapid growth over the last 2- 3 years with record sales being achieved and we currently have over £5m of machinery under order. Machines under build include several Bahmuller internal and external grinding machines and large robot based Magnetfinish deburring machines for Delphi Technologies, and multiple Rollomatic Tool Grinding machines for a number of tool manufactures located in the UK and in Eire. That combined with the need for us to further increase our stockholding of Krebs & Riedel grinding machines led us to invest in purchasing the new industrial unit that gives us an additional 900 sqf of office and storage space. All of our Principals have also been busy expanding over recent times; a prime example being Tschudin (Centreless Grinders) who recently opened their own brand new state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facility over some 5 floors, and we have had to grow with them to meet customer demand. We will also shortly be announcing the introduction of two new principals to our range and the new building helps facilitate that expansion. Whilst our own new facility is already fast filling up, we at long last have sufficient space to stock additional grinding wheels and similar items for our customers and the layout is perfect for our needs and will allow us to operate with much more efficiency. Furthermore, the use of solar panels and our own wind turbine helps us meet our commitment to working towards a carbon neutral facility and we have an electric vehicle charging point installed as well".
